Why Inside Health Institute?
People Before Profit.
We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization serving King and Snohomish Counties, dedicated to breaking down barriers to healthcare.
Our services are built around a whole-person approach — integrating the mind, body, and environment in every step of care.
We combine trauma-informed mental health counseling with naturopathic wellness care to support emotional balance, physical vitality, and community connection.
Our Mission.
Inside Health Institute provides accessible, compassionate whole-person care to empower vulnerable populations for improved social and health outcomes
Whole person care, as defined by Inside Health Institute (IHI), empowers clients to direct their own care by addressing their physical, emotional, social, and environmental needs. This approach recognizes that societal conditions influence challenges rather than viewing clients as inherently disordered. By considering all these factors, clients are supported in managing their well-being actively, leading to a more integrated and personalized care experience.
OUR VALUES
WHAT GUIDES US
The core values of Inside Health Institute have been established to set a precedent for the level of respectful, compassionate and meaningful care clients can expect from us. It is our intent to deliver on this promise through innovation, leadership and the integrity of program services.
Compassion
It is every patient’s right to receive compassionate care and we will strive to meet the specific needs of each individual.
Innovation
We will serve as the pioneers in creating a health care model that will address the needs of all patient populations holistically, facilitate meaningful patient health outcomes and make positive contributions to the current health care system.
Equity
We commit to fairness and equality in all relationships, within our organization, community, and beyond.
Inclusion
We are dedicated to ensuring that our space, our staff, our approaches, and our organization as a whole is inclusive at all levels of functioning. We partner with organizations that aim to instill inclusion and diversity above all else.
In King and Snohomish Counties, approximately 365,000 people currently live below the poverty line. Due to rising costs of health insurance and out-of-pocket costs for health services, many people are not able to afford the basic human right to health care. Well over half of the people who need mental health treatment do not receive it in any given year.
We offer high quality mental health counseling to at-risk, marginalized, uninsured or underinsured populations. Through sliding scale discounts and pro bono services we give over $60,000 in discounts annually to ensure patient services to make sure high quality care is available to those most in need.
We take a whole person approach to healthcare by taking into account physical, mental, emotional, genetic, environmental and social factors. Our emphasis is to offer these approaches to underserved and marginalized people in our community. We also focus on partnering with people and organizations who support these communities.
