Hi, Iām Andrew.
A major health event can change more than the body. It can affect how you understand yourself, your relationships, and the future you imagined. I work with people experiencing life and identity changes related to stroke and traumatic brain injury, as well as those navigating chronic or life-limiting illness and other major life transitions. Together, we can make room for what has changed while discovering what remains meaningful and possible.
My approach is warm, collaborative, experiential, and trauma-informed. I draw from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Existential and Gestalt therapies, and Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy. Together, we may explore patterns that no longer serve you, attend to how experience shows up in the body, and clarify the values that can guide you through change.
As a young stroke survivor, I bring a personal understanding of the grief and identity shifts that can accompany neurological recovery, while respecting that each person's experience is unique. I aim to bring steadiness and curiosity to our work together as we explore difficult questions about identity, loss, recovery, and mortality, honestly and at your pace.
