Diane Beecher Morrison

Thank you for taking this first step in your counseling journey! I enjoy helping all individuals throughout life; however, the aging process is my passion. Everyone experiences aging, and the process can be challenging. Loss of independence due to the physical and cognitive changes that can impact daily living activities may affect your quality of life. Illness, physical limitations, loneliness, and declining mental abilities can be challenging adjustments that result in anxiety, sadness, and frustration.

How I Can Help

I look forward to helping you as you meet your new challenges with tenacity and a new outlook that will support you as you transition into this new life journey. There is a misconception that aging means poor health. This is not always true! Many seniors are living new experiences as they learn skills/hobbies and enjoy activities never considered…. swimming, yoga, painting, nurturing a friendship, volunteering, and walking groups, to name a few. This is a time in your life when your purpose has a definition that exceeds beyond raising children and sometimes experiencing retirement.

Additionally, providing emotional support for adult children and grandchildren is a need experienced by many aging adults. As a therapist, I will support them as they journey with you.  At Inside Health Institute, our authenticity and genuine desire is to see you as a whole person while considering your physical, emotional, social, and spiritual well-being. We will support you as we work together to create a mind/body connection that results in successful outcomes while you become fulfilled and purposeful.

About Me

My experience with aging adults has been as a caregiver in group homes, assisted living, and home care. I offer energy, compassion, integrity, and motivation as I invite my clients to share their stories and help them as they learn to accept and mindfully live their journey through this stage of life while managing changing psychological and emotional needs.

I was born and raised in Pennsylvania, have traveled to all 50 states (Alaska is my favorite), and live at home in Bothell with my dog Bo. My sons are on their own – two are in the Army, and one is a project manager for a tech company. While pursuing my degree, and in my free time, I enjoy biking, reading, hiking, and cooking.
