Hannah Gallo, B.S.

My intentions as your counselor are to provide you with the time, space, and capacity to support you and cultivate an environment for healing, empowerment, and growth. As every one of us is an individual, so too should be the help, care, and guidance you receive. I believe that a person sets their own goals and is the expert on their own lives and the people in them. Together as your guide, we will work collaboratively to achieve your aspirations. My goal is to help rejuvenate and redirect your innate healing abilities to help you feel fulfilled, happy, safe, and comfortable in the life you are living. I hope to provide help for someone struggling at any stage or who just needs a lift to help them reach their mental health goals no matter how big or small. I work for you, I learn from you, and we are a team.

My therapeutic approach is individualistic, however, my therapeutic process is rooted in a combination of existentialist, trauma-informed, person-centered philosophy. I use various methods individualized to the people sitting in front of me. Because of my background in healthcare and holistic healing, I advocate for whole-person healing through various modalities. I believe in nourishing the mind, body, and spirit as a whole. I use a variety of techniques in sessions to help you live and be the most authentic version of yourself. Depending on your needs, some tools we may use in session are specific skill building, mindfulness, values work, grounding techniques, creativity, somatic work, as well as thought and coping skill exploration, and processing of past life experiences.

I am very comfortable working with people from all walks of life and feel particularly suited to help those who are surviving trauma, questioning their self-worth, experiencing depressive and anxious thoughts, as well as those struggling with identity, family structures, and finding their voice.

As your counselor, I am committed to listening to your story empathetically, with unconditional positive regard, and genuine compassionate understanding to help you navigate the struggles of the past and present in order to construct your future reality. I strive to provide inclusive care to people ages 15+ and I am available to see you, online or in person.

A Little About Me
I am originally from the East Coast and I moved to Washington State with my partner in 2020. I have spent much of my free time enjoying the beauty, bounty, and intricacies of nature, Gaia, and her medicine here in Washington. I feel the most alive when surrounded by the forest soaking in a natural body of water. I enjoy hiking, dancing, swimming, and resting with my cat Stella and a good book.

I was drawn to counseling because of my experience in healthcare as a nursing aide and my passion for creating human connection. This started with pursuing two years of education in the Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine program at Bastyr University. My dream of a mental health-based practice led me instead to pursue my LMHC and collaborate with healers of all kinds. For my education, I graduated cum laude with my Bachelor of Science in Medical Biology from the University of New England in 2020 and will receive my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University in 2024.
