Nina Parson

Counseling:

My theoretical orientation is rooted in Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Functional Analytic Psychotherapy (FAP), prioritizing compassion, connection, and authenticity to better understand your thoughts, emotions, and experiences in order to build a fulfilling life. I am open to working with people from all walks of life, and am particularly suited to work with those struggling with anxiety, depression, identity, grief, and trauma. As each person is unique, the foundation of my therapeutic process is to understand you as an individual and adapt our sessions to your individual needs. I believe that healing comes from reconnection with the authentic self, and strive to create a safe space for that healing to occur.

Background:

I grew up on the West Coast and completed my Bachelor of Arts in Psychology at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2018. I worked in youth mental health for four years, before moving to Washington in 2022 to further my education. I will receive my Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Bastyr University in 2024. After graduation, I plan to continue my education in both psychology and herbalism to provide accessible and sustainable support for mental and emotional health.

I personally find that spending time dancing, hiking, foraging, wildcrafting, cooking, and enjoying the narrative arts brings me fulfillment and connection.
