Hello! My name is Rebecca Wendfeldt, and I’m honored to serve as a counseling intern at Inside Health Institute.  life’s transitions and challenges can often feel overwhelming, but you don’t have to navigate them alone. I invite you on your personal journey towards a different way of being in this world.   I believe in honoring the unique experiences and strengths you bring to our work together and helping you connect with your inner resources to promote healing and personal growth. My approach to therapy is rooted in compassion, curiosity, and a belief in the innate wisdom of each individual. I am here to offer support to you on your journey towards healing and a better sense of well-being. Together, we can explore your internal landscape and identify the strengths you already possess to move forward with greater clarity and purpose.


My approach to counseling starts with building a therapeutic relationship and trust.  I take time getting to know you, because you are important. My therapeutic style is eclectic, drawing evidence based techniques and therapeutic tools. I focus on person-centered care, trauma-informed approaches, and techniques such as Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). In addition to my therapeutic approach, I often work through the lens of attachment theory, which helps clients explore how their early relationships shape their current connections and emotional patterns. I also integrate feminist theory, ensuring that the therapy process is empowering and sensitive to the societal, cultural, and relational influences that impact an individual's mental health and well-being. I have a deep passion for holistic wellness, inspired by my background in the spa and bodywork industry, where I learned that the body and mind have incredible capacities for healing. Some of the personalized tools I might integrate in our work together are creative visual representations, guided imagery meditation, mindfulness, and somatic experience. I believe that by providing the right environment—one of safety, empathy, and non-judgment—clients can access the tools and inner resources needed to overcome their struggles and live more fulfilling lives.


I am particularly passionate about helping individuals who are navigating the emotional challenges of life transitions, chronic illness, grief, and trauma. My goal is to meet you where you are and walk alongside you on your journey toward wellness, offering a compassionate space where you feel heard and supported. I am committed to helping you uncover your strengths, understand your emotions, and build a life aligned with your values. I am here to help you navigate the tides of life.  Sometimes life can feel like a tidal wave of challenges that are on the verge of drowning you and too difficult to navigate on your own. You don’t have to face this alone.  I am committed to remain alongside you to listen, to help you find your innate wisdom, and to assist in guiding you toward your unique goals of wellness, whatever that looks like for you as an individual.
