Hi, I’m Samuel.
I’m pleased you’re considering whether I might be helpful on your path.
We come to know ourselves in relation to others: our families, our friends, our partners, our children. It’s where we find the best and most challenging parts of who we are. But it’s in the relationship we cultivate with ourselves that we can explore, learn, and grow into more of who we want to be with and for others – and with and for ourselves. That changes throughout our lives. The values and perspectives we hold can shift. What we want for our lives can change. Age brings layers of complexity and challenge that can surprise us.
If you’re contemplating seeking help on that journey, I hope to be a resource for people facing questions and challenges in new chapters of our lives. I invite you to bring your concerns about difficult transitions, marriage, divorce, questions of identity, health concerns, family relationships, parenting, sex, retirement, end-of-life considerations, grief, and all the rest of our adult lives. Particularly, I invite queer parents, adoptive parents and those considering adoption, gay men, and white members of multi-racial families to consider whether I could be helpful to you. Coming to know ourselves takes patience, curiosity, time, and courage. If I can assist you on your journey, I’d be glad.
