Hi, I’m Sherah.

Hello, I'm so glad you're here. Life can feel overwhelming when you're facing big changes or carrying the weight of past experiences. I work with individuals, couples, and families who are navigating addiction, relationship challenges, and the impact of difficult childhood experiences. I help clients understand how early experiences shape current patterns in relationships, self-esteem, and coping, and I work with couples to rebuild trust and strengthen connection.

With a background in recovery work, I support both those struggling with addiction and the loved ones affected by it, helping families improve communication, set boundaries, and begin to heal. I also prioritize multicultural counseling. As someone who was born and raised in Kenya, I understand the importance of creating a space that is respectful and inclusive of diverse backgrounds and cultures. This includes supporting individuals and families dealing with cultural identity concerns and immigration-related stress, such as adjusting to a new environment or navigating uncertainty.

My Approach

My approach is warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental. I use a person-centered approach, CBT, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), along with a trauma-informed lens, to help you clarify your values and build practical skills while staying grounded in what matters most. Whether you're facing a major life transition or feeling stuck in old patterns, you may be carrying more than you’ve had space to process on your own. You don’t have to navigate it alone. I will meet you with compassion, respect, and genuine care, and would be honored to walk alongside you in this work.
